Larnaca International Airport (LCA) –
approximately 10 minutes by car.
This is by far the most convenient airport
for players competing at Herodotou Tennis Academy,
as the venue is located in Meneou,
immediately south of Larnaca.

Paphos International Airport (PFO) –
approximately 1h30–1h45 by car.
It can be considered when flight schedules or fares
are significantly better than Larnaca,
but Larnaca Airport remains the strongly preferred option.

Recommended, but not essential.
The academy is very close to Larnaca Airport,
making airport transfers easy by taxi.
However, a rental car provides significantly more flexibility
for travelling between accommodation,
the tennis centre,
restaurants and supermarkets during tournament week.

Taxis are readily available at
Larnaca International Airport
and throughout the Larnaca area.
The journey from the airport to Meneou
takes approximately 10 minutes.
Standard taxi fares for this short journey
are typically around €12–20,
although pre-booked private transfers can be more expensive.

Bus connections operate between
Larnaca Airport and Meneou,
with journey times of approximately
15–20 minutes.
Public transport can therefore be used,
although a rental car or taxi remains
more practical when travelling daily
with tennis equipment.

Matches are played
outdoors on acrylic hard courts.
Acrylic courts generally provide a
medium to medium-fast pace
with a predictable and relatively high bounce.
The outdoor Mediterranean conditions can make
the courts play faster during warm and dry periods.
Players should also be prepared for
sun, heat and occasional wind.

Altitude has virtually no impact
on ball speed or bounce.

Mid-October in Larnaca generally offers

highly convenient destination
for international junior competition.
The combination of outdoor acrylic courts,
warm October weather,
extremely close airport access

makes Larnaca particularly attractive
for travelling players and families.
